It depends on your status. Are you a permanent resident or U.S. citizen? The spouse of a U.S. citizen is immediately eligible but it will likely take 9 months to a year to get the person here, the spouse of a permanent resident takes about 3 to 4 years.

It depends on which country your spouse resides. If you are a US citizen, the waiting time is generally 1 year. Again waiting time varies depending on different countries.
