How long will it take for approval of the I-130?

More details to this question:
I am wondering how long will it take for an approval of the I-130 ? I send my application in since Feb. 2013 and I haven't receive and approval letter.

First of all, it depends on what relative you had filed for. Was it a spouse? A parent? A child? A sibling? All of those have slightly different processing times but the earliest you should expect a decision is about 6 months after filing.

The time it takes to approve an I-130 varies depending on your location, your status (USC or LPR), and your relationship to the person who you are petitioning. Go to the USCIS website and look up the processing times listed there by service center or office to get an estimate of how long it is taking.

Usually, the I-130 petitions take about six or so months for approval.
