How long will it take for my I-129F visa to be processed?

More details to this question:
I filed for I-129F visa. It was approved 10/21/2013 by USCIS. Now, it is sent to the National Visa Center. How long will it take for them to receive this and process the visa? Thank you.

We generally tell our clients that they should be ready to wait for 11 to 12 months.

Once it goes to the NVC, the NVC will contact you and your fiance with the additional fees and paperwork that will need to be submitted before the interview can be scheduled. It usually takes about 3 weeks to a month after the NVC gets the case from USCIS for them to contact you. The sooner you can get back to them with all the requested documentation the sooner the interview can be scheduled.
