How soon after a Green Card is stolen must the replacement card be requested?

More details to this question:
A close acquaintance of ours had her purse with her Green Card and other items stolen. We are concerned that because of the over 500 dollar fee for replacing the card and re-submitting biometrics, she may be hesitant to file an I-90. Is there any deadline at which she may risk her LPR status if no I-90 is filed? We will be glad to pay the replacement fee and retain the services of a competent attorney who can answer this question and assist further. Thank you.

There is no deadline for filing an I-90 application and your acquaintance will not risk her LPR status through not filing.
