Hi. My name is Bassim. I came to the state on visiting visa on June 2011 . During that time I spent one year applying for asylum. I was granted green card dated on June 2012. Now I am 4 years holding a legally green card. I want to ask. If I can apply for citizenship neutralization with 4 years green card anneversary. And they will accept the first year applying for asylum. As a role back date.???????? Since I am 5 years now in the state on legally visa one year . And 4 years legally green card. Will they accept me as 5 years LPR??????
The five years is not counted by the time you spent in the United States. You need to wait five years from the date you were granted residence, as stated on your green card. It sounds like you will need to wait one more year to apply.
