How to extend my current work permit by switching my status?

Asked on Aug 03rd, 2013 on Immigration - Massachusetts
More details to this question:
I am an international student. My work permit (pre graduation OPT) will be expired on 9/14/2013 and my post graduation OPT application is pending due to DOS unable to make OPT recommendation in SEVIS system. A priority ticket was request form SEVIS help desk. My boy friend (US citizen) and I plan to get married in few months. But now as my work permit will be expired very soon and I don't know when I my SEVIS record be fixed. We decided to get married earlier and he will file petition for me in 2 weeks. I am now working as a nurse and I will loss my job when my work permit expires. How can I obtain a work permit less than a month or before it expires on 9/14/13? And also we are residing in different states at this moment ( los angeles, boston) He will be able to locate to boston in 3 months. Can we file petition and change of status before we live together? Will this delay the time I get the work permit from changing my status?

You won't be able to get a new work permit until you are married and file for adjustment of status.  It takes 30-90 days after you give your fingerprints related to your application to get your EAD.
