Asked on Jun 24th, 2016 on Immigration - North Carolina
More details to this question:
I got a waiver over 10 years ago, moved from J1 to H1B and stayed on the H1B for 6 years, then returned to my country. I returned recently on J1 again and now wish to get on H1B again. Do I need to apply for another waiver before I can proceed with the H1B paperwork.

Possibly. It would depend upon whether you are subject to the two-year home residency requirement do to your recent J-1. Does the visa indicate you are subject to 212(e)? Were you outside the United States for a year? You can read more about H-1B at http://myattorneyusa.com/work-visas.
