More details to this question:
My mother is working in Nashville on a T D visa .i am on her visa . I am 20 my visa runs out in mid March i turn 21 in May . I am engaged and want to marry an American citizen . If i go back to Canada in March they will not give me a visa and if i stay in the states and not follow my mother in March i am afraid it might affect her renewing her visa again what should i do i want to stay and get married . But i dont know what steps i have to take to get a green card . If you can help me answer this and how much would you charge if i got married to obtain a green card . I feel if i stay when my visa expires they will stop my mum from coming back because the border knows i live there and why i did not get a student visa . I am attending college its been 2 years now . We have lived here 5 years .i hope you can help me as i am afraid thank you
Your marriage to a US citizen would allow you to adjust status even if your status expires. Your mother's legal status cannot be affected by your actions. If she applies for a non-immigrant visa after you have applied to adjust status, she may be denied because it will appear as if wants to immigrate. But some non-immigrant visas allow immigrant intent, like H1B. Contact me privately to discuss my fees to help you.
