More details to this question:
I am an immigrant who trusted someone I met who stole my immigration documents, stole money from my bank account, stole my car, and forged documents in my name. However, I am the person facing criminal charges, with all this happening my kids were taken from my house without my authorization. My immigration status is at risk, what type of attorney do I need to help me?
In your situation, you probably need a good criminal attorney. For immigration purposes, you should engage an immigration attorney who also knows something about criminal law and how it affects immigration status – in other words, an attorney versed in what we term Crimmigration.
