I want to know if am going to be charger for getting a lawyer to get some papers done about that dream act going on. I heard that you won't get charge since it have to do with the government you don't pay if you need a lawyer for that situation?
Every lawyer has his or her own policies regarding charges for services. I do not charge for an initial consultation, but if you want my assistance filing the forms needed to take advantage of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program for Dreamers, I do charge a fee for that service. There are attorneys who will do work like this pro bono. Check with the Tennessee Bar Association for pro bono attorneys in your area.
