More details to this question:
Hi, I’m currently in the US with a J1 visa expired but with the DS (change of status) date until March 9th. I’m going to get married with my girlfriend who is a permanent resident in the US. I want to know if you recommend stayed in the US while I apply for the green card, or I should wait in my country. How many time do you think is going to take either waiting here (US) if this is possible, or in my country.(Panama). Also I need a lawyer that can help me with this process.

A person entering the US legally, which you have, can adjust status to get a green card provided he is sponsored by a US citizen spouse. This is in spite of the fact that you may be out of status. If you have a 2 year home residency requirement attached to your J visa, then that would not allow you to adjust status. More facts are needed.
