QUESTION

Immigration for my mother

More details to this question:
Hello My mother arrived here from India in Jan 2015 on visitor visa. During the month of Feb when it snowed heavily she developed intense pain during our visit to a temple. Had to take her to emergency. She developed severe pain in her back and knees. The doctor recommended back and knee surgeries. She had to file for an extension of her visitor visa which was approved. After trying all the non surgical avenues (she got steroid shots) ultimately her insurance company approved her knee surgeries. Both her knees were replaced a month ago. She still has a lot of pain in her back. She is alone in India as my sister is in Canada and my brother is in Kuwait. She lives in a house that is on 2nd floor. It is an old building and she will not be able to climb up there on those steep stairs. Also She will not be able to do much on her own. She used to be independent before she came here but this issue has made her dependent. I will be getting my GC soon. How can I help my mom get it too.

You cannot file an immigrant visa petition on behalf of your mother until you become a United States citizen.
