Is there any time frame for deportation?

More details to this question:
If my girlfriend gets deported for leaving the U.S. while her residency case is pending, will it really be 10 years until she can return or can that time be reduced?

It is a ten year bar that may be reduced by applying for certain waivers. Such waivers are very difficult to prove.

It depends on the underlying reason for the deportation as well as any other immigration or criminal problems. If she is eligible, then she can file for the waiver to forgive the immigration violations and have the immigrant visa issued for her return.
