Is work authorization through political asylum that was expired since 2005 possible to reapply?

The case was dismissed by the immigration judge and the case is closed.

You get to renew your work authorization only while your asylum case is pending before the immigration judge. once your case is over, so is your right to work. More importantly, once your immigration case ended with a dismissal, you may now have a removal order. Please discuss your case with an experienced immigration attorney.

If you did not get asylum, you cannot renew your work authorization, unfortunately.

If the case is closed and there are no appeals pending, then you are not eligible to apply for renewal of the work authorization card.
