Although you are correct that embassy grounds are considered part of US soil, the fact that you work at the embassy does not mean that you are residing in the US. Even if an argument could be made that residence in a US Embassy is residing in the States, you do not appear to actually be residing there as much as you are working there.Due to the limitations of the Lawyers.com Forums, Alan Lee, Esq.'s (the "Firm") participation in responding to questions posted herein does not constitute legal advice, nor legal representation of the person or entity posting a question. Your work at the embassy would not count as residency in the US because you do not live in the embassy, you merely work there and return to your residence each evening.
