QUESTION

Job offer while waiting for work permit

Asked on Jan 13th, 2020 on Immigration - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I have applied for my work permit I-765 at USCIS. I’ve got an E2 Spouse Visa. My Question is: Is it legally allowed for a company to give me a job offer, once they are willing to hire me, while I am waiting for my permit? Important: I am not willing to start working, until my work permit is available! This job offer I can also use for an expedit request for the work permit, together with a congressmann due to financial loss. What can be requested according to the USCIS website, the expedite request is NOT the question here.

Well once you get the work authorization approved, you should also apply for a social security card.
