QUESTION

Marrying a DACA recipient

Asked on Oct 10th, 2024 on Immigration - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I am a European citizen, currently living in Italy, my boyfriend lives in New Jersey through the DACA program. Up until now I’ve only entered the US for tourism purposes with an Esta, but in the near future my boyfriend would want me to live with him in the US. Since he is not a citizen, marrying him would not give me access to a green card to have permanent residency in the US, however is there any type of Visa that would allow me to stay with him for as long as he stays in the country? Or what are my other options?

It is difficult to know what your qualifications are to stay in the US without more. Marrying a DACA recipient does not give you the right to live with him in the States. I suggest that you seek a consultation with an immigration lawyer who can go over your options.
