Marrying a UK permeant resident

More details to this question:
On vacation in the Uk I met my boyfriend who is now my fiancée who is a permanent resident of the UK. I am a US citizen. We plan to marry and he reside in the US. with dual status. He currently have a 10 year B1 visa. We plan to wed on his next visit, can I start paper work for his green card prior to wedding? What would be the best approach?

You can sponsor him for a green card after marriage by adjusting status but the correct legal way to do this is for him to return to the UK and process for the green card at the consulate. Adjusting his status while he's in B visa status is technically immigration fraud and can result in complications. Consider working with an attorney to represent you from start to finish. Some of us charge a very affordable flat fee.
