Minor age petty theft on L2 visa? What to do

Son was charged for petty theft and goes to court today. First appearance. 15 years old. No priors.. on L2 Visa. can this affect his Visa? We travel a lot to Canada. Will this affect travel? What should we ask for in court so that this does not affect his Visa

Yes. If your son is convicted, his immigration status could be jeopardized. It is important to not plead guilty or accept any plea deal until you speak to an immigration attorney. As to travel to Canada, you will need to speak to an immigration attorney licensed to practice law in Canada. Canada has its own grounds for denying admission.
