my case under class f1 has been approved & fee due but my status has been changed to F3,I want to change class from F1 to F3, pls advise process

My father filed petition in 2003 under F1 as at that time I was unmarried but later got married and have. Kids, now priority date has matured and NVC called fee and police certificate etc. I want to change my status from F1 to F3 and desperate to keep priority date . There is any way?? How can I amend my petition . Should I write to NVC although I wrote them but unfortunately they are directed me to contact USCIS for change as case is pending however case status online shows I can pay fee online under F1 but I didn't find any option to convert my petition and I only found two choices Change of address and typography error forms. Any one have idea what steps should be taken.?? Thanks I'm advance

In your situation, I suggest that you write a specific letter or email to the NVC outlining your request and attaching all evidence including original approval of the I-130, your marriage certificate, and whether you wish to add any dependents to your application. I believe that either your letter was unclear or the NVC representative had an off day.
