More details to this question:
my father met my step mom when i was in 5th grade trough her son and i cause me and him are best friends. I am now 18 and since like 1 week ago we a letter in the mail saying that his application for residency might be denied because of the fact that we (my father, step mom, sister and i) lived in one house for 1 year and my sister and i moved in with my aunt because i wanted to go to a different school so my father comes and stays here with us, so they say that their marriage was a scam. Their marriage wasn''t a scam and well im trying to help them out now cause i am worried. :(
Hello,
Since your father's application is under review by the CIS for possible fraud, you should contact an immigration attorney in your city to avoid denial due to a lack of proper preparation. You should take all the documents that prove that your parent and step mother were actually in a real marriage so that the lawyer can provide you with the best advice for your situation. Good luck.
