QUESTION

N600K process for more than 2 years

Asked on Feb 25th, 2016 on Immigration - Florida
More details to this question:
I have already filed a N600K for my daughter about two years ago. Last may I got this letter requiring more proofs on her grandfather physical presence in US, which was given right-way. Since then I have no further contacts from them. My older son was granted with citizenship on august 2013 using the very same docs and the whole period of time since applying and interview was just eight months. I wonder why it's taking so long this time. I think I may need some help this time. By the way, we live in Brazil.

Each case must be reviewed on its own merits. The applications were likely under review by different officers. It may be time to engage an attorney. An attorney could appear at an infopass appointment on your behalf to attempt to ascertain the reason for the delay. An attorney can also to legal action against USCIS if necessary.
