I was married in Mexico this past month and was about to send in the I-130 document with all of the requirements. As I was going through all of my paperwork, I noticed that my Mexican marriage certificate had some two errors. My parents last name and address is incorrect. Will this create a problem?
I do not think that there would be a problem, especially if you are the beneficiary of the I-130 petition. If you are the petitioning US citizen and were born in the US, it would not make much difference who your parents are. The error would have more relevance if you immigrated to the US based on your relationship with your parents. I do not think that it would be disqualifying anyway, but it might require some explanation on your part.
