My husband's 140(Premium Process) approved on 21st September 2016 and now we want to file ead for me so i can work. Do we have to wait till we get hard copy of approval? on the uscis website we can see "your case got approved by me and we have sent an email", Can we file EAD on he basis of that email? How long does it take to get hard copy of the approved EAD?

You will need the hard copy of the approval notice for social security, assuming your immigration lawyer filed the your adjustment of status applications simultaneously.
