showing enough money for affidavit of support

More details to this question:
i am us citizen but cannot show domicile there. i am currently abroad but plan on returning when my husbands gets visa. my taxes will not show above poverty but we have money in the bank here(china) that will show well above. will that be sufficient enough for the consulate as proof we will not be government dependent? and how do i show i have intentions on returning to the states

You may use assets in lieu of or in addition to income to prove your ability to financially support your non-citizen spouse.
