QUESTION

Traveling without travel document

Asked on Jan 26th, 2016 on Immigration - Virginia
More details to this question:
Hello, I am on J-1 visa and my family members are on J-2 visa, we did the waiver and we are filing for the green card, the question is: after doing the medical examination and the fingerprint can my family members travel outside USA without the Travel Document? What is the risk in traveling in that time? Will the process cancelled and should start from the beginning? Will it be any problems with the airports or immigration authorities? Will it be any problems for my family members to enter USA again?

Not if the I485 is pending. ONly with advance parole document in hand in this case.
