I am a USF grad student, now going for my Masters, on a student visa from Saudi Arabia. I went home on break and due to accident could not return to the states. USF drop me and now I apply for B1 Visa last Sept. Date created and Status update date still say date I originally applied. Website says AP. How can I find out status of my VISA and consulate has my passport too. I now have job but want job in USA. I am engineer. I hope I can still take final for masters, without paying for 1 yr tuition. I dont know. I leave email to US Consulate they don't reply. 6 months I wait and nothing. I have never done anything wrong to make me wait this long i do not understand why this happen to me. how do i get answers. they tell me visa approved but must wait, wait for how long?
Getting information from consulates is notoriously difficult. A lawyer like me can inquire on your behalf, but often our emails also go unanswered. There is no process in place to reliably find out what is happening with your case. I would be happy to engage them for you. Email me if you'd like to try that.
