QUESTION

What are the deportation processes and how is it done?

Asked on Aug 30th, 2012 on Immigration - Maryland
More details to this question:
My friend will be deported to India for a felony crime. How much baggage would be allowed? Would it be a private charter plane or a regular plane? Would someone escort him to India? He will be in jail for four months for his crime and then be deported. Any suggestions or tips are welcome. Thanks.

He will finish his time and then be passed on to ICE/DHS. He will be given an opportunity to apply for relief in deportation proceedings. Once there is a final order, he is flown with a main carrier.

He will be deported via regular commercial flight. No one will escort him to India unless he is considered dangerous criminal. He can take one luggage with him.
