What are the steps to take in preventing my abusive immigrant husband getting his legal through me? He has an open deportation case going on right now. He was going to get deported in 2011 but i called his immigration lawyer to stop it because i didnt want him deported for that we have two children together but he has been since very abusive towards me in which i would like to have him removed nothing seems to stop him in abusing me he is facing a jury trial do to hurting me but it still doesn't seem to stop him and i have a current restrain order against him and i am also seeking a lawyer in helping me file for divorce. he has a ssn #, license, but does not have yet green card or citizenship. Please help me, thank you
It appears that you have been supporting him in his fight to remain in the US and are now fed up with him so that you would like to have him removed despite the fact that you have two children together. You could initially inform his immigration lawyer that you will no longer support his case. In addition, if your husband is found guilty of a crime of domestic violence, he would have no relief from removal in the end. You could then notify his attorney, the ICE attorneys and the immigration court of a domestic violence conviction as you would undoubtedly be aware of any conviction.
