What can I do if my school terminated by mistake?

My school failed to register me with Sevis when I renewed my I-20 and now my status is terminated. I became a victim of the school DSO's mistake. In this case how am I going to fix it, since I was studying and paying the school on time and the school terminated my status by mistake? Please, I need help.

Ask the DSO to correct the mistake, if possible. Otherwise, you will need to get a written statement from the DSO explaining what happened and apply for reinstatement of your F-1 status on form I-539.
