What can I do if my US citizen husband is abusing me?

More details to this question:
My US citizen husband married me and now he treating me like dirt. He shouts at me and slam doors. He turn his television up loud. He doesn’t feed or cloth me. When we were dating things were better. I can’t even sleep at night because of his behavior. I don’t have no where else to live. What should I do?

You should go to a shelter! You should get away from him. You are suffering serious abuse and you need help. Do not worry about your immigration status; under these circumstances, you should be able to get your status because your USC husband is abusing you. It will be a long and difficult process, but it is better than to continue tolerating abuse. If you do not know where to go, just go to your nearest police department and tell them what is going on. If you feel you are in danger.

See if your husband will agree to marital counseling. If that is not possible, many locations have organizations that provide assistance to victims of domestic abuse which you can search for on the internet. You have not given your immigration status, but consult with an immigration attorney about the possibility of immigration relief under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
