What can we do if I checked the status online still shows - No status?

More details to this question:
My mother had an interview at Islamabad US embassy for NIV. After the interview, they told her she will receive her passport in mail within five days. They didn't let her know anything else.

It's not unusual for it to take many months to get security clearances. Sometimes it takes more than a year. Most USA consulates are very responsive to emails, so I would suggest emailing them to check the status.
