QUESTION

What do I need to do, in order to move to the US?

Asked on May 20th, 2016 on Immigration - Texas
More details to this question:
My fiance is American, and currently incarcerated in Texas. I am Danish and live in Denmark. Unfortunately I got hurt when I was just a teenager, which has disabled me, so I don't have an education, and I will probably not be able to work full time. My future husband is expected to get out on parole in a few years. He has learned some really good skills, so he is better suited to get work etc when he gets out. He already has a lot of job offers. We really want to live together, and I need all the help I can get, to find out what I can do to make this possible. Can you please help me? Kind regards, Mie

You will likely need to wait until your fiancé is released from custody. Once released from custody, your spouse can either file a fiancé visa petition on your behalf of you can marry so he can file an immigrant visa petition on your behalf.
