What do we need to get my wife's citizenship process started?

More details to this question:
My wife and I were just recently married on May 25,2011. i'm a US citizen, and she's an immigrant. We are planning to go to a lawyer soon to get her citizenship/greencard process started, but we don't know what papers to bring for the lawyer or where to start.

Congratulations on your marriage. As for what to bring, start with the basics: 1. Passports 2. Photos of the wedding 3. Birth certificates 4. Marriage license 5. Any criminal history information The lawyer's office should also have a list of what to bring to a first meeting.
