What exactly does the law say about derivative citizenship.

More details to this question:
My father became naturalized in 2000. A year later I obtained my permanent residence through him. I was 13 Years of age at the time and I'm wondering if I am currently a citizen?

Yes, you likely are a citizen.  But, you need to apply for the actual certificate.  You can search form n600 or let me know if I can be of any help.
