5 to 14 months before the approval of the petition; about 2.5 years before the visa will become available; and, depending on the country where your spouse lives, a few months for the visa interview at the U.S. consulate (if she is in the U.S. and eligible to adjust status, a few months for processing of the adjustment of status application and scheduling of the adjustment interview).

It depends on the case. It will also vary on whether or not the application was filed correctly. Many times people try to do these themselves, errors are made, and the case drags on for years. My best advice, have an attorney prepare it for you.

Processing times for the I-130 itself may not be all that long but the wait for the visa priority date to become current is about 2-3 years for spouse of a green card holder.
