More details to this question:
Hi, my employer applied my H1B on 05/01/2012 and got approval on 07/31/2012. After my H1B approval, my work location was changed, and my employer filed LCA amendment using my new work location (No H1B Amendement). I went for H1B stamping at Mumbai Consulate and received 221G query. I have submitted all the documents on 12/18/2012 as requested in the 221g, after submitting my documents, my case was moved into administrative processing. It is more than 5 months and I have not received any information regarding it. Meanwhile my employer filed H1B amendment with new work location on 04/16/2013 and got approval. My case is pending with consulate for more than 5 months, and my passport is with the consulate only. My questions : 1) Can I withdraw my first H1B (which is under administrative processing) and get my passport back?< 2) Can I take new H1B Visa Appointment with the New H1B Approval (Amended one) 3) Can I apply for a new passport and then go the consulate with the new passport 4) What are other questions can be raised if I go the consulate for the second time?
