What is the time frame for green card processing and approval?

I am a US citizen and I would like to file a petition for a green card for my brother. Are the processing time different for countries like Malaysia?

Malaysia is in with the waiting list for the majority of the world , which is typically 10-20 years. You may want to also explore other ways for him to immigrate, based on a job offer, which is much faster.

It is going to be about 10-12 years before your brother would be able to immigrate on the basis of your petition. It is not so much Malaysia as a country of birth as the fact that sibling of US citizen is a 4th preference category that has very long processing times for the priority date to become current.
