What should I do if Green Card applicant marital status has changed?

More details to this question:
I am a US citizen and I have sponsored green card for my brother in 2010. The case is in process. In the meantime my brother got divorced and then re married to another girl. The initiall documents which I submitted 3 years ago included marriage certificate of her first wife. I am lost now, I don't know what should I do to get update on his status change, please advise.

Since this is a very slow category there Is nothing to worry about now. Your Petition only relates to your brother. At the time his Priority Date is current he may include any dependents at that time spouse and unmarried minor children.

You could send in an addendum to the I-130 explaining the divorce and marriage along with a copy of the divorce and marriage certificates. You could also call the USCIS Customer Service number and ask them.

You can update your brother's petition by sending a letter, by certified mail with return receipt, to the USCIS office address contained on the receipt notice to describe the change in his marital status. You should also submit a copy of his divorce decree and his new marriage certificate.
