QUESTION

What should I file for?

Asked on Nov 15th, 2015 on Immigration - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I was brought to the U.S when I was a child, I've lived in the U.S for 14+ years. I graduated from High School and I'm limited to where I can work. I just wanted to know what I can do or what forms I should file for. My dad just became a permanent resident not to long ago but I don't live with him, we have little to no contact, I am 22 years of age.

It is not clear whether you are eligible for lawful permanent residence. You may qualify for DACA. While DACA is not an immigration status, it does give you a deferral of any action to remove you, employment authorization, and possibly the ability to travel outside the United States. It is not clear whether you meet all the eligibility requirements. You can find more information about the program by clicking DACA.
