What term do I use?

Asked on Jun 02nd, 2016 on Immigration - Idaho
More details to this question:
Kent, what terms should I use? Because next week I have a court date, judge asked to go ahead and file AOS because I told him I had an approved I-130. I sent all paperwork out as instructed and I have my receipts from USCIS. When I go to court do I request "Cancellation of removal" or "Motion to terminate removal proceedings due to approved petition" or "prosecutorial discretion" or "administrative closure" Not sure which term I should use.

You would ask the judge for either termination of proceedings based upon the approved Form I-130 and pending Form I-485 or for a hearing in your Form I-485. You will need to provide the immigration judge and DHS with a copy of the application and proof of filing. You may want to consider having an attorney prepare submissions and attend this hearing.
