QUESTION

Where can I find an attorney to help fix and redo immigration papers?

More details to this question:
My friend met her husband online and corresponded back and fourth for a while then they got married. They married in his country and all went well in for his interview as they waited. My friend took off from work again for vacation to go up to the embassy and found the guy that married her made a mistake on her marriage certificate, and the case had to go back to USCIS. My friend got sick going back home and was in a coma for a month. My friend was not able to get the papers fixed, meaning go back to the embassy because of being sick and doctors orders. The case was closed but they said I could refile the papers. My friend's husband will be coming to visit friends so she wants them to renew their vows and get married this time in her country in the USA, find a lawyer to redo the paper work for them, and get something for her husband to be able to stay here while the paper work is being done but also get something where he can go back and forth to his country to visit his sick elderly mother and come back to the US. Would you know of any lawyers that would help us? We will pay, thanks.

From what you described, it appears as if your friend's husband may be eligible for adjustment of status if he enters the US with inspection. While the application is pending, he can apply for advance parole which would allow him to travel in and out of the US during the pendency of his application. We can definitely help him and your friend navigate through the immigration process.
