Will being in the military help fixing their papers or is the process the same?

I am 20 years old going on 21. I am trying to fix my parents legal status.

Process is the same regardless of whether you are in the military or not for your parents. Also, if they entered the US unlawfully, they are not eligible to adjust status to permanent residence within the US regardless of whether you are in the military or not.

If you are a US citizen you may be able to file an immigrant visa for your parents when you turn 21, but more information is needed on your parents immigration background.

It's a favorable factor, but it won't matter if the case is approvable regardless. If your parents entered the U.S. lawfully, you may be able to fix their status in as little time as 4-6 and as soon as you turn 21. If they didn't enter legally, they probably won't be able to fix their status. Either way, I suggest you consult an immigration lawyer closer to your next birthday.
