More details to this question:
I am about to turn 21 years old in a few months. I want to sponsor my parents for a green card but i'm still a college student and have no income. I have a couple of relatives and friends of my parents who are U.S Citizens and are willing to co-sponsor. My parents are not currently in the U.S. My mum has been coming and going often with a visiting visa but it has expired. My dad however has been unable to get a visa due to past issues with the embassy that occurred almost 20 years ago. He has not gone back since then. Will it still be possible for me to file for them? Would i need to contact a lawyer? Especially for my dad's case?

Yes you can sponsor your mom. Your dad maybe depending on his situation. Work with counsel anywhere in the US. Some of us charge a very affordable flat fee for representation.
