QUESTION

Will I be eligible for a fiance visa?

Asked on Mar 06th, 2013 on Immigration - Florida
More details to this question:
I am 18 years old and lived in the Us for 9. I went with my parents as a child (i was 8 years old) and they over stayed their tourist visa we had a legalization process but it never went through because there was no open law. so We left before I turned 18. Now I'm in brazil away from my boyfriend of 5 years. He is 18 as well and comes to visit me and asked me to marry him and move there to be with him but I don't know if we are eligible because of our age and that I used to live there. Ive researched the process an it seems so complicated. Should we hire an attorney to file the forms for us? Please help. Niether of us have a criminal record and our relationship is 120% legitimate.

Since you are both legally adults, you qualify for a fiancé visa.  Your prior stay in the US won't affect your application.  I recommend hiring an attorney but I'm biased because I am such an attorney!
