More details to this question:
I was robbed at a gun point in January 2011 while working at a gas station. Within a month, I got robbed again by a man with a mask. I had to assume he has weapons. This incident got me depressed and sad. As a guy working at a minimum wage I couldn't afford to leave that job, forget about seeking expensive medical help! What are the chances of me getting approved for a U visa? Any helpful information would be appreciated! Additional Info: I reported both the crimes to the police.

You seem to be eligible to apply for a U status; the police would have to certify your case and sign off on the fact that you were in fact helpful (you called the police, described what you saw, and tried to assist the police as best you could). I think that, since you were the victim of these crimes and you reported them, you have a good chance.

You have to help the police to arrest the bad guys in order to qualify.

You are eligible for U-1 visa and the chances appear to be pretty good. You can schedule a consultation to discuss this further.
