Asked on Nov 18th, 2013 on Immigration - Washington
More details to this question:
I applied for temporary protected status for Syrians and my biometric date was 2 weeks ago and still waiting for the authorization of work card and for the temporary protected status decision. I still hold my F1 visa and my I-20 gonna be expired next week if I don't pay for the next language course level. I don't need the school anymore.

Well, if your TPS is denied, you will be out of status. That is the risk here.

Without reviewing the TPS application it is difficult to fully assess, but if there is no reason for concern regarding qualifying for TPS status, and it is going to be a substantial financial hardship to continue with your studies, you can likely make the decision not to continue enrollment without impacting your long term immigration options.
