QUESTION

Will my application be affected because I'm pregnant and unmarried?

More details to this question:
Hi, I'm 20 years old and hoping to receive an interview date notice soon. I was petitioned by my mother who is a US citizen. My problem is, I'm now 6 months pregnant and unmarried. Is it possible for my application to get rejected because of it? Are there any other things I need to do or obtain to assure that I will get approved? Such as medical insurance in US, need to be married, etc. I don't have a problem with getting an X-ray during medical as they can do it safely. Thanks!

Update Your Profile
This should not be an issue. You need to make sure that you are eligible to adjust your status in the U.S. and that there are no grounds of inadmissibility that apply.

Your application for permanent residency cannot be denied based on the fact that you are pregnant and unmarried. If you are currently outside the US, you will need to complete you medical exam and schedule and attend your ASC appointment before the interview.
