QUESTION

Will my n400 application be denied?

Asked on Jun 14th, 2014 on Immigration - Texas
More details to this question:
I was married to a US citizen and got my green card based on marriage but we end up divorcing and I had to go trough an interview before getting my permanent resident card. After one year I met a guy( international student) we had a baby and then got married. Now it is time for me to apply for naturalization based on 5 years timeline. I was wondering if my application can be denied based on the fact that I married someone else and had a baby? By the way I always pay my taxes never register to vote and do not have any criminal records

Hello. The USCIS may ask more details about your first marriage. Although you got the 10 year card, they still reserve the right to review that first case/marriage. However, if you had strong proof the first case was real and bona fide, it should be fine. The same thing may happen if and when you file for your new husband's green card. They will investigate your first marriage.
