Will our application will be rejected because of his deportation from US?

More details to this question:
My husband had b1b2 visa and he had visited the US twice, staying there 5 months each. When he visited the third time, the immigration officer stopped him and his visa has been cancelled. He has a 5 year ban. Now we are planning to apply for Canada PR. I am being the primary applicant.
